Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and forging strategic partnerships to enhance the exchange's position as a leading platform for commodity trading. This individual will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, and promoting the exchange's services to potential clients and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the commodities trading industry.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, segments, and client segments based on market trends, competitive dynamics, and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including commodity producers, traders, brokers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the exchange's reach and enhance its product offering.
  • Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership agreements with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to tailor solutions and offerings to meet client needs and market demands.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Represent the exchange at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote brand awareness, thought leadership, and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor and track sales performance, pipeline development, and key performance indicators to measure progress against targets and objectives.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to senior management on business development activities, achievements, and challenges.
