Our client, a leading proprietary trading firm, is currently searching for a skilled C++ Developer to become a valuable member of their team. The firm boasts extensive, global experience in various asset classes, risk management, and cutting-edge trading technologies, and they are committed to hiring exceptionally talented and motivated individuals to collaborate on pioneering technology and mathematical approaches to implement advanced trading strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test trading system features and tools based on specific business requirements.
- Monitor the performance of the low latency trading system, diligently track market data and research resource utilization issues, promptly fix bugs, and ensure timely deployments.
- Engage in internal communication with traders and developers to explore performance optimizations, evaluate ideas and queries, refactor existing implementations, and keep a close watch on updates to the operating system, libraries, and internal frameworks.
- Investigate potential enhancements to the trading system, diagnose and debug issues when required, and take appropriate actions to address them.
- A strong academic background is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in coding languages, especially C++ with a solid grasp of data structures.
- Knowledge of third-party libraries such as STL and Boost, expertise in Linux environments, and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
