Our client, a leading international oil trading firm, is seeking a Credit Control Specialist to join its finance and risk function. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring counterparty exposures, managing receivables, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies across the company’s global trading activities. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor customer credit exposure and ensure adherence to approved credit limits and payment terms.

Work closely with traders, operations, and risk teams to assess counterparty risk and propose credit structures where required.

Review and reconcile accounts receivable balances; manage collection efforts and resolve overdue payments.

Support daily and monthly reporting of credit exposures, margin requirements, and payment status.

Coordinate with banks and insurers regarding letters of credit, guarantees, and trade finance documentation.

Maintain accurate records of credit documentation, ensuring compliance with both internal and external audit requirements.

Assist in the onboarding and periodic review of counterparties, liaising with KYC and compliance teams.

Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes and systems.
