Job Title: Analyst – Debt Advisory
Location: London

Overview

A leading pan-European independent debt advisory firm is looking to hire an Analyst to join its London team. The platform advises financial sponsors and corporates across a wide range of complex financing situations and is recognised for its technical expertise and strong execution track record across the European market.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the execution of debt advisory mandates across Europe, including primary financings, refinancings, restructurings and broader strategic financing reviews.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of debt products including bank loans, unitranche, bonds, subordinated instruments and asset-backed solutions, working in lean teams with significant responsibility from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of debt advisory mandates with direct exposure to clients, lenders and advisors
  • Build and review detailed financial models to assess capital structures, leverage capacity and debt serviceability
  • Prepare transaction materials including teasers, lender presentations and financing option analyses
  • Conduct credit analysis, due diligence review and financial performance assessments
  • Undertake market research and comparable transaction analysis
  • Engage with banks, direct lenders and other capital providers to support financing processes
  • Contribute to discussions with sponsors and management teams on optimal financing strategies

Candidate Profile

  • Background in leveraged finance, debt advisory, corporate finance or accounting from a leading institution
  • Strong financial modelling skills, particularly in cashflow-based lending and credit analysis
  • Solid understanding of capital structures, financing instruments and credit risk
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deal-driven environments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities
  • Proactive, intellectually curious and able to operate effectively in lean teams

Additional Requirements

  • Fluency in English required
  • Additional European language skills (e.g. French, German, Spanish or Italian) are advantageous
