We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dry Bulk Shipping Operations Manager to oversee the full post-fixture operations of our client's global dry bulk chartering activities. The successful candidate will work closely with charterers, traders, shipowners, port agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective voyage and time charter execution. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operational performance across a wide range of dry cargo commodities including iron ore, coal, grains, and bauxite.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end post-fixture operations for voyage and time-chartered dry bulk vessels (Handy to Capesize)

Coordinate all aspects of a vessel's voyage: nominations, documentation, demurrage, laytime calculations, port rotations, and bunker planning

Liaise with shipowners, brokers, port agents, and inspectors to ensure seamless cargo movements

Proactively identify and resolve operational issues such as delays, weather risks, port congestion, and contractual disputes

Monitor vessel schedules, performance metrics, and cost controls (freight, bunkers, port costs, etc.)

Prepare and analyze voyage performance reports and cost reconciliations

Review charter party terms to ensure compliance and risk mitigation in daily operations

Work closely with chartering, trading, legal, and finance teams on vessel allocations and claim management

Handle demurrage and despatch claims, including negotiation and settlement

Maintain strong relationships with port agents, terminals, shipowners, and surveyors globally
