Quant Trader (Book Runner) – Systematic Intraday FX & Futures

Venture Search is partnering with a highly regarded systematic trading firm to hire a Quant Trader (Book Runner) specialising in fully systematic intraday strategies across FX and futures.

Our client is a well-capitalised proprietary trading firm with a strong focus on scalable, systematic alpha and robust risk management. With a global and remote-first setup, they provide traders with the infrastructure, capital, and autonomy required to run and scale high-performance strategies. This hire is a key addition to their trading team, focused on deploying capital and driving consistent PnL.


The Role

As a Quant Trader (Book Runner), you will:

  • Run and scale fully systematic intraday trading strategies across FX and futures
  • Take direct ownership of PnL, execution, and risk management
  • Deploy capital efficiently across multiple strategies and signals
  • Monitor live trading and continuously optimise performance
  • Work closely with quant researchers and developers to enhance strategy robustness and execution

This is a high-responsibility role suited to traders who excel in live environments and have a strong track record of managing capital.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a book runner or quant trader in systematic intraday FX and/or futures
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent, risk-adjusted returns
  • Strong understanding of market microstructure and execution in electronic markets
  • Experience running fully systematic strategies in production
  • Solid programming skills (Python, C++, or similar)
  • Strong risk management discipline and ability to scale capital effectively
