Head of Global Futures (HFT to MFT)

Venture Search is partnering with a premier, technology-driven quantitative trading firm to hire a Head of Global Futures to build and scale their international futures business, and launch a new international office (New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, Singapore).
Our client is a high-performing, well-capitalised systematic trading firm with a strong track record across high-frequency and mid-frequency strategies. With significant resources, elite talent density, and global ambitions, they are seeking a senior leader to take full ownership of expanding their futures platform across key international markets.
The Role -
As Head of Global Futures, you will:
- Architect and scale a global futures trading business from the ground up
- Develop and oversee HFT to MFT systematic strategies across international futures markets
- Establish and lead a new regional office, with full responsibility for hiring and team build-out
- Own the end-to-end trading lifecycle, including research, execution, and risk management
- Allocate capital and resources to maximise scalable, risk-adjusted returns

Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Portfolio Manager or Senior Quant Researcher at a top-tier HFT or proprietary trading firm
- Proven track record running systematic futures strategies (HFT to MFT)
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to build and scale high-performance teams
- Deep understanding of market microstructure, execution, and global futures markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously
- Fluent Chinese speaker
