Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Iron Ore Trading strategy, focusing on entrepreneurial and back-to-back trading.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive growth and profitability.

Market Knowledge:
- Leverage strong knowledge of the Asian iron ore market to inform trading strategies and decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes.

Team Management:
- Build and manage a high-performing team of traders and support staff.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to ensure team success.

Risk Management:
- Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard the trading portfolio.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with the risk management team.

Collaboration:
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and logistics teams, to ensure seamless operations.
- Work closely with other trading desks to explore synergies and cross-commodity opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in iron ore trading (10/15+ years), demonstrating a successful entrepreneurial and back-to-back trading approach.
- Strong understanding of the Asian iron ore market.
- Experience in managing and building successful trading teams.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
