IT Infrastructure and Trading Platform Manager
As the Head of IT, you will oversee the firm's IT infrastructure and various trading platform whilst overseeing adherence to regulations and standards, focusing on IT-related aspects. Interaction with various internal teams will be constant to manage IT matters, implementing necessary programs, and executing firm-wide cyber risk assessments for regulatory compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, monitor trading servers, and associated trading platforms for seamless functionality.
- Manage Bridge and FIX API connections, providing continual maintenance and support for trading and pricing activities.
- Analyze departmental business requirements to ascertain technological needs, proposing upgrades or new systems to upper management.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance and upgrades for the company’s trading infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
- Configure, install, and support trading infrastructure equipment to facilitate efficient operations.
- Investigate, resolve, and document incidents related to trading platforms, maintaining a comprehensive record.
- Provide day-to-day support and monitoring for all trading platforms, ensuring operational stability.
- Oversee trading platform data center operations, managing operational parameters.
- Ensure security and integrity of the trading infrastructure, implementing necessary controls.
- Document existing IT procedures and policies, maintaining comprehensive records.
- Manage assigned projects to ensure service delivery aligns with established objectives.
- Conduct tests and troubleshoot issues arising from Manager-API applications, Bridge setup, and day-to-day operations.
- Align IT infrastructure with current/future business requirements and goals, optimizing functionality.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations for all IT activities.
- Evaluate risk and develop recovery and backup processes for the network.
- Collaborate with third-party service providers for issue resolution and maintenance.
- Provide daily support for trading platforms’ desktop and application environment used for firm operations.
- Perform hands-on technical work, including installation, operation, and troubleshooting of diverse technologies and applications.
- Support and administer a heavily virtualized Windows infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation.
- Deploy, configure, and manage physical and virtual systems, corporate services, and application software.
- Oversee technology operations, evaluating their alignment with established goals.
