Our client, a leading high-frequency crypto trading firm, are looking for a Linux System Administrator with 3–7 years of experience to support and optimize their trading infrastructure. This role will focus on managing and improving our on-prem and cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for our trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Rocky Linux-based infrastructure for trading and research environments.
  • Manage on-prem clusters (HTCondor) and AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Automate system administration tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed for system hardening and access control.
  • Handle network configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with developers and traders to support infrastructure needs.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system-level access controls.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in Linux system administration (Rocky Linux preferred).
  • Strong experience with system automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
  • Experience managing on-prem clusters and AWS-based environments.
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, system security, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and availability.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with HTCondor or other high-performance compute clusters.
  • Experience with low-latency or high-performance trading environments is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production-critical environments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
