The Base Metals Trade Operations Executive will support the trading desk by managing the full operational lifecycle of physical base metal trades. This role ensures accurate contract execution, logistics coordination, documentation, risk alignment and timely settlement across global markets. The successful candidate will act as a key link between traders, logistics providers, warehouses, finance, counterparties and inspection companies.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute and administer physical base metal trades from contract confirmation through to final settlement
• Issue, review and revise sales and purchase contracts, ensuring terms align with commercial, operational and risk requirements
• Coordinate logistics for shipments (containerised, breakbulk, warehouse-to-warehouse), including booking freight, monitoring vessels and arranging inspections, sampling and assays
• Manage warehouse instructions, releases, warrants, stock transfers and inventory reconciliation
• Oversee preparation and accuracy of trade documents including invoices, BLs, packing lists, weight certificates, assay results and certificates of origin
• Ensure correct application of Incoterms and adherence to QP/pricing terms for concentrates and refined metals
• Track and verify weights, assays, penalties, moisture, impurities and other adjustments impacting final invoicing
• Maintain communication with counterparties, shippers, surveyors, insurers and warehouses to resolve discrepancies or operational issues
• Work closely with trade finance to support LC documentation, collections, guarantees and financing structures
• Perform daily position reconciliation, exposure reporting, P&L checks and risk alignment with the trading desk
• Support internal audits, compliance checks, KYC requirements and regulatory reporting
• Maintain updated records in trading systems (ETRM/ERP), ensuring accurate data for risk, finance and management reporting
• Identify process improvements to streamline operations and reduce operational and financial risk
