The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and security. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company’s technology needs while ensuring reliable and secure network operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity requirements.
- Designs and deploys LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, UPS systems, and other associated hardware.
- Designs, implements, and supports firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access VPNs.
- Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain current with industry developments.
- Oversees installation, maintenance, and upgrades of network hardware and software.
- Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure necessary network products and services.
- Configures networks to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable operation.
- Monitors and tests network performance, identifying and troubleshooting problem areas.
- CCNP Routing and Switching certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
- Strong background in network capacity planning, network security, and related disciplines.
- Expert-level knowledge of core routing and switching design principles.
- Proficient in current network hardware, protocols, and Ethernet technologies.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
