Our client is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join their new start-of-art office based in Silicon Valley. They are particularly looking to bring on young, talented developers, who have worked on greenfield projects and within low latency environments. A prominent player in the cryptocurrency market, they are responsible for a significant portion, contributing 5-10% of the global trading volume.


The Role
  • Create and manage low-latency, real-time market data feed systems.
  • Collaborate closely with traders and strategists to develop and enhance our client's sophisticated library of execution algorithms.
  • Develop and oversee an execution system that interfaces with more than 10 APIs.
  • Analyze historical trade data generated from trading activities, with a particular focus on liquidity, market impact, and trade performance.
  • Enhance visualization tools for monitoring our clients portfolio and trading activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to elevate technology standards and consistently implement best practices.
Candidates Should Possess
  • Exceptional intelligence and diligence.
  • Hands-on experience with C++ and/or other backend languages, including Go, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Practical experience with data processing tools such as Node.js, MongoDB, SQL, pandas, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in developing low-latency systems, including RPC, IPC, REST, WS, MQ, and more.
  • A strong grasp of software engineering best practices, such as Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation. Knowledge of ECS, EC2, Kubernetes, VPC, and related technologies is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding team-working and communication skills.
  • A preference for working within a lean team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in quant development (the role is dependent on experience level) is considered a valuable asset.
  • Knowledge of computer security is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrencies is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed systems is also beneficial.
Additional Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
