Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Business Development to join our executive team. The Senior VP of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and expansion of our business, forging key partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities. This individual will lead the development and execution of business development strategies to enhance our market presence, drive revenue growth, and strengthen our position as a leader in the trade finance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and alliances to enhance our competitive advantage.
  • Lead negotiations and establish partnerships with financial institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and tailor offerings to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team to foster a high-performance culture and achieve business objectives.
  • Drive the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and proposals to support business development initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on trade finance.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance products, services, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business innovation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
