Vice President - Financial Communications (Energy Firm)
We are delighted to be working with a large energy business in the UAE, who are hiring a Vice President of Financial Communications to join at group level.
The objective of this role is the lead financial communications both internally and externally, working closely with c-suite and external stakeholders. Internally, you will advise executives on all aspects of financial, transactional and investor communications. Externally, you will oversee deal announcements, financial disclosures, publications etc. This role can be considered to be more of an externally facing position.
Responsibilities:
- Direct financial reporting disclosures and oversee quarterly results of any listed portfolio companies
- Announcing M&A/ IPO activity externally, and managing relationships with media.
- Develop a strategy on finance and investment to establish the business and its management as industry leaders. Responsible for strategic content across various communication platforms
- Establish a communication platform to support the overall mandate, including a yearly plan for all communication activities
- Support CIO on change management processes and strategy creation
- Responsible for media outreach and external conference support
- Consistently develop the communication strategy for the company, and contribute to its implementation throughout. Execute and enable all relevant initiatives, processes and deliveries of this strategy.
Requirements:
- 17+ years of experience in corporate communications/ strategy/ PR
- Experience in the Energy industry is an advantage
- Demonstrable experience of content creation, and how to create external awareness and promotion of business activity
- Experience working with senior leaders/ C-suite
