Director - Renewables Infrastructure
Our client is a highly reputable investment management firm specializing in real assets, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects. With an impressive track record and a commitment to sustainability, they have established themselves as a market leader in the industry.
As the Director in Renewables Infrastructure, you will be responsible for generating and executing solar and wind deals, as well as overseeing funds management activities. You will leverage your expertise and network within the renewable energy sector to identify and evaluate investment opportunities that align with the company's investment strategies. Additionally, you will actively manage and optimize the performance of the existing renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of solar and wind investment opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and legal considerations.
  • Negotiate and structure investment deals, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure financing for renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee the management and performance of the existing renewable energy portfolio, implementing strategies to maximize returns and mitigate risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics to inform investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, including developers, utilities, and government agencies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of professionals within the renewables infrastructure division.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in UK-based renewable energy investments, particularly in solar and wind projects.
  • Proven track record of generating and executing successful deals in the renewables sector.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to conduct comprehensive financial analysis of renewable energy projects.
  • Experience in funds management, including raising capital for renewable energy projects and managing investor relations.
  • Established relationships and a strong network within the renewable energy industry, including developers, investors, financial institutions and government entities.
  • Experience in originating and executing deals of £25mn and above.
