We are partnering with a leading financial services firm based in DIFC and regulated by the DFSA in the search for a Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting the CFO across all operational and strategic finance activities, ensuring strong financial governance, IFRS compliance, and robust internal controls. This is a high-visibility role within a growing organisation with regional operations and international investment partnerships.
Role Purpose
To oversee the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, and internal controls. The successful candidate will support the CFO in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest fiduciary and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Review consolidated management accounts and conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Maintain accounting policies and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Modelling
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle, coordinating with senior management and business units.
- Develop and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
Audit, Controls & Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits, managing deliverables and resolving queries.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including DFSA returns and relevant tax filings.
- Ensure strong internal controls are documented, implemented, and operating effectively.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, cash optimisation and short-term investment strategies.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring effective allocation of responsibilities.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Support the CFO on process improvement initiatives, new systems, and automation projects.
- Prepare briefing materials and presentations for boards, shareholders, and investment committees.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues impacting key stakeholders.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client care.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support cross-functional initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
- 6+ years’ finance experience, ideally within financial services or investment management.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS), with regulatory exposure—DFSA experience preferred.
- Proven treasury experience and familiarity with regulatory filings.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA – or similar qualification
