We’re working with a global trading and investment group to appoint a Legal Counsel to support their Middle East & Africa operations. This is a high-impact role for a qualified legal professional looking to contribute to a dynamic, cross-border business environment.
Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements including those relating to corporate investments, M&A, employment, and international trade.

Provide proactive legal analysis and advisory support across business units, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with local and international laws.

Monitor and communicate regional legal developments relevant to the company’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.

Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities to manage legal risks and obtain specialist advice as needed.

Work closely with internal departments (e.g., HR, finance, risk, strategy) to support business continuity and corporate governance.
Your Profile:

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in private practice.

Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law; exposure to English law is an advantage.

Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage cross-functional teams.

Highly ethical, detail-oriented, and able to operate with discretion and professionalism.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and comfortable with legal document workflows.
