As a Middle Distillate Trader, you will play a pivotal role in their energy trading operations. Leveraging your deep understanding of the middle distillate market, you will identify and execute profitable trading strategies, manage risk, and contribute to the overall success of their trading desk.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute trading strategies for middle distillate products in line with market trends, company goals, and risk management protocols.
- Utilize fundamental and technical analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities and generate trading ideas.
- Build and maintain relationships with key market participants, suppliers, and customers to facilitate deal origination and enhance market intelligence.
- Monitor market conditions, supply and demand dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting the middle distillate market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, risk managers, and operations staff, to ensure seamless execution of trades and optimize portfolio performance.
- Manage trading positions, analyze risk exposures, and implement hedging strategies to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Middle Distillate Trader/Originator within an energy trading firm or a commodity trading environment.
- Strong knowledge of the middle distillate market, including key drivers, pricing mechanisms, and global supply and demand dynamics.
- Demonstrated track record of executing successful trading strategies and delivering consistent profitability.
- Proficient in using trading systems and tools, including risk management software and market analysis platforms.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed trading decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
