Position Overview:
As Gas and Power Traders, you will play a crucial role in executing trades and managing risk in the European gas and power markets. You will have the opportunity to trade a variety of products, including intraday and day ahead contracts, across multiple exchanges and trading platforms. They embrace both discretionary and systematic trading strategies, so you will have the freedom to apply your own unique trading insights or leverage their advanced algorithmic models.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute trades in European gas and power markets, focusing on intraday and day ahead contracts.
Analyze market data, monitor market trends, and identify profitable trading opportunities.
Develop and implement trading strategies that align with the firm's risk management framework.
Utilize both discretionary and systematic trading approaches, adapting to market conditions and applying advanced trading tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize trading performance and enhance trading strategies.
Monitor positions and risk exposure, ensuring compliance with risk limits and trading guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with market developments, regulatory changes, and industry news related to gas and power markets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of European gas and power markets, including experience in trading intraday and day ahead contracts.
Proven track record of successful trading in energy markets, demonstrating profitability and risk management skills.
Experience with both discretionary and systematic trading approaches is preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing trading software, analytical tools, and market data platforms.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, etc.) is desirable but not mandatory.
