Quantitative Derivative Trader (Agri)

Overview:
My client is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join their team as an Agriculture Quantitative Derivative Trader. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your quantitative skills to develop and execute trading strategies in agricultural derivatives. Under the guidance of experienced traders and analysts, you will gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to the success of the trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of quantitative trading strategies for agricultural derivatives, including futures, options, and swaps.
- Conduct data analysis and research to identify trading opportunities and support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with senior traders and analysts to enhance trading models, algorithms, and infrastructure.
- Monitor agricultural market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical events to inform trading decisions.
- Assist in backtesting and analyzing trading strategies to evaluate performance and optimize for profitability.
- Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in agricultural derivatives trading.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in a finance or trading environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and quantitative modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for finance and agriculture, with a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic trading environment.
