Venture Search is partnering with a leading global proprietary trading firm to hire a driven and experienced futures spread quantitative trader to join a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trading commodity futures spreads on exchanges such as CME, ICE, or Eurex. 

This is an opportunity to join a well-capitalized firm with strong technology infrastructure, direct exchange connectivity, and a track record of successfully scaling individual strategies. The team offers a collaborative environment, competitive payout structures, and the autonomy for traders to fully own and develop their strategies within a supportive framework. This role is fully remote.
 
What You'll Do:
    • Develop and implement profitable commodity futures spread trading strategies
    • Enhance and improve existing trading systems and strategies
    • Collaborate with a high-caliber team on strategy integration and generate PnL
    • Contribute to building and improving automated trading platforms
    • Apply rigorous quantitative research to real-time trading decisions
    • Take ownership of key trading system components and outcomes
 
What We’re Looking For:
    • 3+ years of hands-on commodity futures spread trading experience
    • Solid grasp of market microstructure
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing trading strategies
    • Proficiency in Python or similar coding languages
    • Excellent judgment under pressure and a collaborative mindset
    • Hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field from a top university
    • English fluency
