We are partnered with a leading institutional trading firm specialising in digital asset liquidity and market-making across major exchanges and OTC venues. As the team expands in New York, they are seeking an experienced Senior Rust Engineer to help design, scale, and secure their core institutional exchange platform.
This is a high-impact role within a small, senior engineering group working across market-making systems, B2B integrations, and protocol-level infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering, CEO, and senior business stakeholders, playing a key role in shaping the platform’s technical direction as it continues to grow.
Option for both Hybrid and Remote (1 week in the office per month)
What you’ll do

Build and maintain production-grade systems in Rust

Develop institutional B2B trading workflows and connectivity

Strengthen and scale market-making infrastructure

Design and implement bridges between application layers and protocol components

Identify and close security, performance, and architectural gaps

Improve and extend back-office and internal tooling

Partner directly with senior leadership on technical strategy

Mentor engineers within a small, high-calibre team

Collaborate with international teams, including Singapore
What we’re looking for

Strong, hands-on Rust experience in production environments

Background in institutional trading platforms, exchanges, or market-making systems

Experience across B2B and/or B2C trading environments

Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders
