The Senior Analyst – Shipping Solutions & Operations will lead the delivery and ongoing support of shipping systems and automation solutions in line with agreed system design, enterprise architecture and security standards. The role is responsible for ensuring the stability, enhancement and effective use of shipping applications while coordinating multiple vendors and internal stakeholders.
This position acts as a key bridge between shipping operations, trading, finance and IT, ensuring that shipping systems support front-to-back business processes efficiently and reliably.
Key Accountabilities
Shipping Systems Operations & Support

Own day-to-day support of the Shipping system, including:

Defect and incident management
-
Interface and data flow monitoring
-
Maintenance of reference and static data
-
User access and role management
-

Support business users in understanding shipping system functionality and its interaction with related systems, including trading platforms (e.g. Endur) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
Automation, Reporting & Data

Maintain and enhance custom reporting solutions within the shipping system, using SQL Server or similar platforms.

Support existing reports and develop new reports in line with evolving business requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate activities with shipping system vendors and system integrators to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of enhancements and support services.

Act as the primary interface between vendors and internal teams, including trading, CTRM and finance systems.
Change Management & Solution Delivery

Engage regularly with business stakeholders to define, prioritise and manage change requests.

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs.

Manage the full change lifecycle, including:

Impact assessment and gap analysis

Business process mapping and blueprinting

Functional specification preparation

UAT planning and execution

Testing & Release Management

Monitor System Testing and Integration Testing in coordination with system integrators and internal teams.

Coordinate with infrastructure teams on technical environment activities, including:
