The Senior Analyst – Trading Solutions will oversee IT operations and delivery activities supporting the trading business. The role is responsible for ensuring stable, high-quality trading system performance, effective service management, and timely delivery of system enhancements aligned with business objectives.

The position acts as a key interface between trading, operations, IT and external vendors, with a strong focus on service quality, system reliability and continuous improvement.


Key Accountabilities

Service Management & Operations

  • Oversee IT service management activities, including monitoring and management of tickets and service requests.

  • Analyse service performance, identify improvement areas and report service quality metrics to business and IT stakeholders.

  • Conduct service quality assurance and proactively monitor system performance issues.

Vendor & Delivery Management

  • Manage external system integrators and service providers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of contracted services.

  • Coordinate vendor activities across development, support and release cycles.

Trading Systems Expertise

  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the Endur trading platform, including:

    • System architecture

    • Core front, middle and back-office modules

    • Endur data model

  • Support trading system configuration, enhancement and issue resolution across the trade lifecycle.

Business Engagement & Solution Delivery

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify problem statements and deliver effective solutions.

  • Assess change requests and define system solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and support delivery through to implementation.

Infrastructure & Environment Coordination

  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams on all technical environment activities, including:

    • Production patch deployments

    • Test environment setup and refresh

    • Server maintenance and system availability

Testing & Change Control

  • Design, plan and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in close collaboration with business users and IT stakeholders.

  • Ensure changes are tested, documented and implemented in line with agreed standards and timelines.

Trading Business Knowledge

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the energy trading value chain, ideally across crude oil and refined products, from front office through to back office.

  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental performance objectives through effective delivery and service management.

  • Design and implement tools and techniques to improve process quality, efficiency and system performance.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes and align with best practices and industry standards.

Reporting

  • Provide input into regular progress and performance reports for management, highlighting key risks, issues and improvements.
