Our client is a global Bank, who is looking for a VP to join their Private Funds Group, on the Distribution side. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing LP relationships, with a particular focus on institutions in the Northeast U.S. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, develop, and manage relationships with institutional investors, including public pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and consultants.

  • Drive capital raising efforts for private equity funds by presenting strategies, positioning investment opportunities, and managing the investor diligence process.

  • Lead LP coverage efforts in the Northeast region, maintaining a proactive dialogue with key decision-makers.

  • Partner with the project management team to deliver high-quality materials, investor updates, and responses to requests.

  • Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to internal stakeholders and fund manager clients.

  • Mentor and support junior distribution team members.

  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in private equity fundraising, investor relations, or institutional sales/distribution.

  • Established network of LP relationships in the Northeast U.S. (must have demonstrated coverage across pensions, endowments, foundations, and family offices).

  • Deep understanding of private equity strategies, fund structures, and capital raising processes.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate investment theses to sophisticated investors.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and capable of mentoring junior colleagues.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred but not mandatory.
