Head of Institutional Sales (CFDs)

A DFSA- and FCA-regulated brokerage and investment firm with strong institutional roots from Canary Wharf, London and a growing presence in Dubai is seeking a Head of Institutional Sales to lead and scale its institutional business from the DIFC. This senior role is responsible for driving institutional revenue, developing strategic client relationships, and supporting the firm’s expansion beyond CFDs into equities, working exclusively with institutional clients and with no retail exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale the institutional sales function across CFD products, targeting hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, banks, and other institutional counterparties
  • Develop and execute the institutional sales strategy in line with global growth objectives
  • Originate, manage, and deepen long-term relationships with institutional clients only
  • Support the firm’s expansion into equities, contributing to commercial strategy and product development
  • Act as a senior representative of the firm at institutional meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Partner closely with trading, risk, compliance, and senior leadership to ensure best-in-class client service and regulatory alignment
  • Build and mentor a high-performing institutional sales team in Dubai

Key Requirements:

  • 10–15 years of experience in institutional sales within a CFD brokerage, prime brokerage, or similar institutional trading environment
  • Demonstrated experience working exclusively with institutional clients (no retail background)
  • Strong CFD product expertise; equities experience is a significant advantage
  • Proven track record of originating and growing institutional revenue
  • Solid understanding of FCA and DFSA regulatory environments
  • Strong institutional network across Europe, MENA, and/or global markets
  • Strategic, commercially driven mindset with senior stakeholder presence
