Our client is a global Emerging Markets asset manager, specializing in fixed income and equities strategies. The firm is seeking to expand its US presence and is looking for a dynamic, experienced business development professional to join their team remotely from the US.
The individual will leverage their strong network and expertise to attract capital from US-based LPs with a particular focus on emerging markets funds. The role will involve working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and execute strategies for capital growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in raising capital for emerging markets funds and a deep understanding of fixed income and equity products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive capital raising initiatives for emerging markets funds, focusing on US-based LPs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, endowments, foundations, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic initiatives to enhance the firm’s profile and fundraising efforts.
- Partner with senior leadership to refine and implement business development strategies, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Conduct presentations, meetings, and discussions with potential investors to communicate the firm’s value proposition and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing and investment teams to produce compelling pitch materials and client presentations.
- Track fundraising progress and report on key metrics to senior management.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and emerging investment opportunities in the emerging markets space.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or capital raising, with a strong focus on emerging markets funds.
- Proven track record in raising capital from US-based LPs, including institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.
- Deep understanding of fixed income and equity products and the ability to communicate complex investment strategies effectively.
- Strong existing network of LPs and potential investors, with the ability to leverage relationships for capital raising efforts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
