With our commitment to innovation and excellence, we specialize in trading various oil products including crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. As part of our expansion efforts in Africa, we are seeking highly skilled and experienced Physical Oil Traders to join our dynamic team and drive the development of our trading activities across the continent.

Position Overview: As a Physical Oil Trader for Africa, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies to optimize our physical oil trading operations in the African market. You will play a critical role in sourcing, buying, and selling physical oil products across the barrel, while leveraging your market knowledge and expertise to identify and capitalize on opportunities in various countries across Africa. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to our growth strategy in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute physical oil trading strategies to capture trading opportunities across Africa, including crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with suppliers, buyers, and counterparties in Africa, leveraging your network and industry contacts to source and secure physical oil cargoes.
  • Analyze market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing signals to inform trading decisions and optimize trading positions.
  • Negotiate and execute physical oil trading contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, quality specifications, and risk management guidelines.
  • Manage logistics, transportation, and storage arrangements for physical oil cargoes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor market developments, geopolitical risks, and regulatory changes impacting the African oil market, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with trading, operations, and risk management teams to manage trading risks, optimize trading performance, and achieve trading targets.
